On July 15, 2025, Valeo, a global automotive supplier based in Paris, announced that a prominent Chinese New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturer has selected its state-of-the-art 5-in-1 Deep Integration Power Electronics Module. This innovative technology aims to redefine the architecture of electric vehicle (EV) electronics, providing a single System on Chip (SoC) solution designed to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in electrified powertrains.

The 5-in-1 module integrates multiple essential components—including an inverter, an onboard charger, a DC/DC converter, a power distribution unit, and an eFuse—into a single compact unit. According to Xavier Dupont, CEO of Valeo's Power Division, "This award demonstrates Valeo Power's agility and competitiveness. Our teams were able to develop this new 5-in-1 Deep Integration Power Electronics Module by bringing together our expertise in power electronics and system integration. Its compact architecture and cost-effectiveness meet the needs of our customers in China and overseas, and will contribute to Valeo’s mission to make mobility more sustainable."

The growing demand for electric vehicles has prompted manufacturers to seek lightweight, efficient, and cost-effective solutions. Valeo's 5-in-1 module achieves a weight reduction of around 20%, which not only supports the development of next-generation eDrive systems but also enhances vehicle architecture. The integrated design simplifies system complexity and reduces signal transmission latency and power consumption, providing a significant performance boost for EVs.

The module is certified to the Automotive Safety Integrity Level C (ASIL C), ensuring that it meets stringent safety standards necessary for reliable vehicle operation. It is capable of delivering continuous AC output of 600A RMS on a 400V platform, with peak power reaching 170kW, suitable for high-performance electric driving. Additionally, the module's flexible charging compatibility supports 7kW and 11kW onboard charger configurations, integrating seamlessly with global charging standards.
