Robbie Williams Concert in Bath: Essential Information on Road Closures and Weather

This weekend, Bath's historic Royal Crescent will welcome approximately 30,000 attendees for a sold-out concert featuring pop icon Robbie Williams, scheduled for June 13 and 14. The event commemorates 250 years since the establishment of this UNESCO World Heritage site, making it a rare occasion for concerts to be held in such a significant location.

According to Bath and North East Somerset Council, road closures will be implemented at Royal Avenue, Royal Victoria Park, and Marlborough Lane to accommodate the influx of concert-goers. The entrance to the concert will be on Royal Avenue, adjacent to Royal Victoria Park, with gates opening at 16:00 BST on both days. The supporting act, The Lottery Winners, will perform a 45-minute set starting at 19:00, followed by Williams taking the stage at 20:30. The concert is expected to conclude by 22:30.

To facilitate access, the council has advised attendees to utilize park and ride services, which have extended operating hours until 23:30 on both concert nights. Great Western Railway has also announced regular train services from Bath Spa to Bristol Temple Meads, with the last trains leaving at 23:53 and 23:51 for Friday and Saturday respectively. However, disruptions are anticipated for routes heading to Cardiff and London Paddington due to scheduled track replacements in South Gloucestershire.

In preparation for the event, concert organizers, Senbla, have issued guidelines regarding prohibited items. Attendees are not permitted to bring umbrellas, blankets, chairs, or bags larger than A3 size into the venue. Additionally, outside food and drink, as well as any sharp objects, are also banned.

Weather forecasts indicate a favorable outlook for the weekend, with sunny and mostly dry conditions expected. On Friday, temperatures may reach highs of 22°C with gentle breezes, cooling to about 18°C overnight. Saturday is forecasted to maintain similar temperatures, although a slight chance of light showers exists in the evening.

This concert represents not only a significant entertainment event for Bath but also a unique cultural celebration, reflecting the city’s historical and architectural legacy. As the community prepares for this landmark occasion, local authorities encourage attendees to plan their travel accordingly and enjoy the festivities responsibly.
