Shilpa Shirodkar Discusses Life Changes Post-Bigg Boss and Marriage

In a recent interview, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shirodkar revealed the notable changes in her lifestyle following her participation in Bigg Boss 18, where she expressed that her husband, Aparesh Ranjit, a banker with dual MBA degrees, humorously remarked on her cooking habits. Shirodkar, who gained fame through films like "Hum," "Aankhen," and "Khuda Gawah," shared insights into her culinary shifts, stating that she now relies on just three ingredients for her meals.
Shirodkar recounted an amusing conversation with her husband, who was surprised to find a lack of traditional spices, particularly "akhha garam masala," in their kitchen while preparing mutton curry. "He called me and said, ‘There’s nothing in the house.’ I responded, ‘What do you mean?’ To which he replied, ‘There is no akhha garam masala.’ I told him, ‘Oh, I don’t use it anymore.’ He said, ‘You have gone mad.’ I assured him that the food is still delicious, despite the fewer ingredients," she explained.
Reflecting on their marriage, which began in 2000, Shirodkar attributed their lasting bond to mutual respect. She recalled the pivotal moment in 2009 when the couple moved from New Zealand back to India, following the loss of her parents. "He understood my emotional trauma and prioritized my well-being over his career, stating, ‘Don’t worry about work, it will happen, let’s go back home,’" Shirodkar noted, showcasing the strength of their partnership.
Shirodkar's upcoming project, "Jatadhara," is a pan-India supernatural thriller that marks her return to the film industry after a significant hiatus. The film centers around the famous Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple and its mystical lore, further enhancing her appeal in contemporary cinema.
This candid discussion highlights the evolution of Shirodkar's personal life and career, providing a glimpse into the actress's adaptation post-Bigg Boss and her enduring relationship with Ranjit. As she navigates these changes, her journey serves as a testament to the balance between personal fulfillment and professional aspirations in the dynamic world of Bollywood.
