In a disturbing incident in Dublin, a 35-year-old man has accused Robert Maguire of robbery following an attack that left him requiring a tetanus shot. The alleged mugging occurred on Sycamore Street around 3:15 AM on May 31, 2025, as the victim was returning home after a night out with friends.

According to Garda Shane McConkey, the injured party was approached by Maguire and an accomplice, a woman whose identity has not been disclosed. The victim reported that Maguire punched him in the back of the head, causing him to become disoriented. Subsequently, both assailants allegedly wrestled him into a nearby doorway, where a third male also participated in the attack, pinning the victim to the ground.

The victim dropped his iPhone 15 during the struggle. While the male accomplice picked up the device, the female suspect reportedly dug her fingernails into the victim's forearm, attempting to steal his watch. This act reportedly caused deep scratches that later became infected, necessitating a tetanus shot and a course of antibiotics.

Judge Máire Conneely presided over the case at Dublin District Court, where she denied Maguire bail.
