PDLS Class of 1995 Reunites After Three Decades in Bagenalstown

On June 14, 2025, Presentation de la Salle College in Bagenalstown, Ireland, hosted a reunion for the Class of 1995, marking 30 years since their graduation. The event drew 58 former students, a significant turnout considering the class size of approximately 120. Organizers Ollie Sinnott, Morgan Drea, and Joe Nolan coordinated the gathering, which was the third reunion for the class, following similar events at the ten- and twenty-year milestones.

The nostalgia-infused evening allowed attendees to reminisce about their school days, with conversations shifting from career updates to cherished memories. Sinnott remarked on the evolution of communication methods over the years, noting how they had transitioned from contacting parents for information to utilizing platforms like Facebook and now WhatsApp, which facilitated connections among those who remain active.

The reunion’s atmosphere was characterized by a youthful spirit, as many attendees expressed a sense of surprise at the emotional depth of their discussions. Musician Adrian Ryan notably attended the reunion after performing in Wexford, illustrating the strong bonds that many still share.

Ollie Sinnott highlighted that for many, the reunion was a poignant reminder of the passage of time and the importance of reconnecting with old friends. He stated, “Thirty years on from leaving school, people are more mature, they’re more rounded and they’re probably thinking ‘maybe I won’t get a chance to meet these people again.’”
