BMW M Motorsport Achieves Major Wins Across Global Racing Events

BMW M Motorsport has recently celebrated a series of significant achievements across various racing events, demonstrating the prowess of its vehicles and drivers. This past weekend, from July 11 to July 13, 2025, the Italian GT Championship saw BMW Italia Ceccato Racing secure a notable victory at the Mugello circuit, while the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship highlighted the debut pole position of driver Neil Verhagen at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

In the Italian GT Championship, BMW Italia Ceccato Racing claimed a 1-2 finish at Mugello, with drivers Jens Klingmann and Jesse Krohn taking the top spot in the #1 BMW M4 GT3 EVO. Teammates William Alatalo and Leonardo Caglioni followed closely, securing second place in the #2 BMW M4 GT3 EVO. Despite facing a 15-second pit-stop penalty during Sunday’s race, Klingmann and Krohn managed to secure third place, maintaining their position in the championship standings, just two points behind the leaders. Klingmann expressed pride in their performance, stating, "We can be very proud of the first half of the season... We’re looking forward to the second half of the season with great anticipation."

Meanwhile, at the IMSA event, Neil Verhagen achieved the first pole position of his career in the GTD-PRO category, performing exceptionally well during qualifying. "It’s phenomenal. I gave it everything I had, and it just all came together," Verhagen remarked, underscoring the support from Paul Miller Racing and BMW M Motorsport.

The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge also showcased BMW M Motorsport’s dominance, with Jeff Westphal and Sean McAlister winning the race in the #39 BMW M4 GT4 EVO. This was followed by a strong performance from their counterparts, Austin Krainz and Steven McAleer, who finished in second place in the #27 BMW M4 GT4 EVO from Auto Technic Racing.

In the GT World Challenge Asia, drivers Maxime Oosten and Ruan Cun Fan finished third and seventh in their class, respectively, further solidifying BMW’s competitive presence in the series. The success was echoed in the British GT Championship, where Century Motorsport secured a double podium at Snetterton.

Björn Lellmann, Head of Customer Racing at BMW M Motorsport, commented on the recent successes, stating, "In recent weeks, one season highlight followed another. We had many reasons to celebrate and share great successes with our customer teams."

As the racing season progresses, BMW M Motorsport aims to maintain its competitive edge, with upcoming races scheduled for the second half of the year, including the next sprint races of the Italian GT Championship at Imola in late September. These achievements not only highlight BMW's engineering excellence but also signify the growing influence and capabilities of its drivers on the international racing stage. The performance of BMW M Motorsport continues to inspire confidence among fans and stakeholders alike, promising an exciting future ahead for the brand in motorsport.
