Java House Expands Sponsorship with Laguna Seca INDYCAR Race

Java House, an innovative cold brew coffee brand based in Indianapolis, has been announced as the title sponsor for the upcoming NTT INDYCAR SERIES event, the Java House Grand Prix of Monterey, scheduled to take place from July 25-27 at the historic WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. This marks Java House's inaugural title sponsorship in the racing domain, aligning with the brand's strategy to increase visibility and engagement within the motorsport community.

The partnership was welcomed by Mel Harder, the president and general manager of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, who expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. “Cars and coffee are a classic combination, and we’re excited to share this fantastic coffee with our guests,” Harder stated in an official press release dated June 15, 2023.

During the race weekend, attendees will have the opportunity to sample Java House’s diverse range of products, including its Amazingly Smooth cold brew coffees, lattes, teas, and hydration drinks. Java House products will be featured across various hospitality areas, including premium luxury suites and club-style pavilions, enhancing the overall spectator experience.

In addition to its sponsorship of the Monterey event, Java House has also secured primary sponsorship on the No. 20 and No. 21 Chevrolets driven by Alexander Rossi and Christian Rasmussen, respectively, throughout the 2025 INDYCAR season. Ted Gelov, owner and CEO of Heartland Food Products Group, which owns Java House, expressed his excitement about the partnership. “INDYCAR has been an outstanding platform to grow our brand and connect with a passionate fan base,” Gelov commented in a statement released on June 15, 2023.

This sponsorship is part of a broader strategy by Java House to elevate its national profile, aiming to capitalize on the enthusiastic demographic that motorsports attract. According to a report published by the Sports Marketing Association in 2023, motorsport fans tend to display higher brand loyalty, making such sponsorships particularly beneficial for companies looking to expand their market reach.

The Java House Grand Prix of Monterey is significant as it represents the only visit of North America's premier open-wheel racing series to Northern California. The event serves not only as a platform for racing enthusiasts but also as a cultural gathering point, showcasing the synergy between motorsport and lifestyle brands.

As the event approaches, Java House plans to extend its engagement beyond the racetrack. Plans for local promotions, including Java House Cold Brew Espresso Martinis available at select restaurants in the Monterey area, are set to further connect the brand with the local community and race fans alike.

Looking ahead, this partnership is likely to shape Java House's marketing strategy in 2025 and beyond, as the company aims to leverage its growing presence in the competitive beverage market. Industry analysts predict that strategic sponsorships in sports will play a crucial role in brand visibility and consumer engagement in the coming years, positioning Java House favorably in the evolving landscape of consumer preferences.
