Kunii and Hada Conclude German Moto2 Race with Valuable Experience

In the 11th round of the 2025 Moto2 World Championship held at the Sachsenring in Germany on July 13, IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia riders Yuki Kunii and Taiga Hada faced a challenging race marked by variable weather conditions. After starting the weekend with dry weather on Friday, the team encountered rain on Saturday, but race day brought clear skies and favorable conditions for competition.

Yuki Kunii, who began the race from 19th position, aimed to secure points by engaging in a fierce battle within the top 15. Despite his competitive pace throughout the race, Kunii ultimately finished in the same position he started, 19th. "While I am a bit disappointed, I believe this weekend has been a step forward in terms of consistency and performance," Kunii stated. He expressed his determination to build on this momentum in the upcoming race in Brno, Czech Republic, which is scheduled just one week later.

Taiga Hada, making his debut with IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia, started from 26th place and completed the race in 21st position. Hada described his experience as a learning curve, noting that he was progressively adapting to the bike and the competitive pace of the Moto2 Championship. "Completing the full race distance is crucial for my development, and I appreciate the support from the team as I continue to improve," Hada remarked.

Hiroshi Aoyama, team manager of IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia, analyzed the race performance of both riders, stating, "We had anticipated better results based on our performance in free practice. However, the changing track conditions affected our pace and grip, which was disappointing. Nonetheless, we remain optimistic about the upcoming race in Brno, where we hope to see stronger performances from both riders." Aoyama emphasized the importance of continuous improvement and the need to close the gap to the leading competitors.

The Sachsenring race demonstrated the unpredictability of motorsport, where weather conditions can significantly influence race outcomes. Data from previous races suggests that adapting to changing conditions is crucial for success in Moto2, highlighting the need for teams and riders to excel in both wet and dry circumstances.

As the IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia looks ahead to Brno, both Kunii and Hada are optimistic about leveraging their experiences from Sachsenring to enhance their performance. The upcoming race will be critical for both riders as they aim to finish the first half of the season on a competitive note. With their commitment and the team's support, Kunii and Hada are poised to tackle the challenges that lie ahead in the Moto2 Championship.

This race not only serves as a reminder of the challenges that riders face on the circuit but also underscores the importance of experience and adaptation in professional motorsport. As both riders prepare for the next challenge, the IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia aims to continue its trajectory of growth and competitiveness in the Moto2 series.
