Pope Leo XIV Emphasizes Hope in Sports During Jubilee at Vatican

Pope Leo XIV emphasized the importance of hope in athletics during a Jubilee event held at St. Peter’s Basilica on June 14, 2025. The Jubilee of Sport, which attracted a diverse group of athletes, coaches, and sports managers, was intended to reflect on the relationship between athletic activities and the theological virtue of hope.
