Porsche Clinches Teams’ and Manufacturers’ Titles at Formula E Finale

In a thrilling conclusion to the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, held on July 27, 2025, in London, Porsche successfully secured both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ titles. This victory marks a significant achievement for the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer as it underscores their dominance in the electric racing series.

The final race of the season, known as the London E-Prix, saw four Porsche-powered drivers finish within the top ten, solidifying the brand's prowess in the competitive motorsport arena. António Félix da Costa, despite starting from the back of the grid due to a mechanical issue in qualifying, showcased resilience by finishing sixth. His teammate, Pascal Wehrlein, who was in contention for a podium finish until a collision hindered his progress, finished eighth. Jake Dennis, representing the Porsche customer team Andretti Formula E, was the top Porsche finisher, concluding the race in fourth place. Notably, David Beckmann, driving for Cupra Kiro, earned his first career point by finishing tenth.

Porsche's TAG Heuer Formula E Team clinched the Teams’ Championship by a margin of 26 points over Jaguar TCS Racing, accumulating ten podium finishes, one victory, three pole positions, and seven fastest laps throughout the season. The official standings reveal that Porsche finished with a total of 256 points in the Teams’ classification and 383 points in the Manufacturers’ category, outpacing Jaguar by 33 points.

Florian Modlinger, Director of Factory Motorsport for Formula E, expressed pride in the team's accomplishments, stating, "An amazing achievement for Porsche in Formula E: winning the Manufacturers’ World Championship and the Teams’ World Championship! Both drivers did an incredible job. This milestone reflects the intense effort put into the project over recent years."

Pascal Wehrlein, who concluded the season third in the Drivers’ standings with 145 points, remarked on the success of the season, saying, "We won the Teams’ Championship and the Manufacturers’ Championship... In two years, we’ve achieved everything you can achieve in Formula E; we’ve won the drivers’, teams’, and manufacturers’ titles. Everyone can be super proud."

António Félix da Costa echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the teamwork that contributed to their success: "This was it, we are World Champions! Two world titles back to Porsche. That’s amazing. The whole team did a great job."

The season finale capped off a competitive year for Porsche, which has been involved in Formula E since its inception. The 2024/2025 season was particularly notable as it marked the entry of a second Porsche customer team, Cupra Kiro, which utilized the Porsche 99X Electric technology. As Porsche continues to develop its electric vehicle technology through Formula E, the insights gained from this racing series are expected to influence its production sports cars significantly.

As the team looks ahead to the next season, the foundation laid this year promises further advancements and challenges in the evolving world of electric motorsport. The TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team is set to continue leveraging their competitive edge in the pursuit of further titles and technological innovations, with an eye on maintaining their top position in the racing series.
