RTL Deutschland has announced the appointment of Maximilian Orgonyi as its new Chief Transformation Officer, effective August 1, 2025. In this pivotal role, Orgonyi will spearhead the broadcaster's transformation strategy, manage artificial intelligence (AI) partnerships, and oversee procurement processes. He will report directly to RTL Deutschland's CEO, Stephan Schmitter.

Previously serving as a strategic leader at RTL Deutschland since joining in 2023, Orgonyi transitioned from a consultancy background at McKinsey & Company, where he specialized in strategy and corporate finance within the Media & Tech sectors. His experience at McKinsey included significant contributions to the company's strategic initiatives and procurement strategies, as well as leading efforts in developing AI partnership management.

"Maximilian Orgonyi is an outstanding transformation expert with a clear strategic vision for the evolving video content market," stated Schmitter. He emphasized Orgonyi's integral role in the ongoing negotiations regarding the proposed acquisition of Sky Deutschland, which is expected to play a crucial part in RTL’s future growth. Before his tenure at McKinsey, Orgonyi worked in mergers and acquisitions at Deutsche Bank in London, adding a wealth of financial expertise to his profile. He is an alumnus of several prestigious institutions, holding an MBA from the University of Cambridge, a degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of St. Gallen, and a degree in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
