Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Series Specifications Leaked Ahead of Launch

In anticipation of the official unveiling, specifications and European pricing for Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic series have been leaked, revealing significant enhancements in performance and display quality. Scheduled to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 at the Unpacked event, the new smartwatches are set to attract considerable consumer interest.
According to a report by The Times of India published on July 5, 2025, the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic will feature an upgraded 3nm Exynos W1000 5-core chipset, which is expected to provide substantial performance improvements over previous models. Both variants will come equipped with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
The Galaxy Watch8 is anticipated to be available in two sizes: a 40mm model with a 1.34-inch sAMOLED display featuring a resolution of 438x438 pixels, and a 44mm model boasting a 1.47-inch sAMOLED display with a resolution of 480x480 pixels. The Classic variant, available only in a 46mm size, will also sport a 1.34-inch sAMOLED display. All models will run on the One UI 8.0 Watch operating system, enhancing the user experience with improved interface features.
Health and fitness tracking capabilities will be a focal point for the new series. The watches are expected to include a comprehensive suite of sensors, including an accelerometer, altimeter, gyroscope, light sensor, geomagnetic sensor, PPG sensor (Photo-Plethysmographic), ECG sensor (Electrocardiogram), and BIA sensor (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis). This extensive array of sensors will cater to the increasing demand for health monitoring features in wearable technology.
Pricing for the Galaxy Watch8 series will start at €379.99 for the 40mm Bluetooth model, while the 44mm Bluetooth + 4G variant will retail for €459.99. The Galaxy Watch8 Classic will be priced at €579.99 for the Bluetooth + 4G model. These prices mark a notable increase compared to previous generations, reflecting both the advancements in technology and the premium nature of the devices.
The expected release date for the Galaxy Watch8 series is July 23, 2025, with pre-orders likely to commence immediately following the Unpacked event.
