SolidRun and Amarisoft Launch Compact 4G/5G Base Station Solution

In a significant advancement for telecommunications infrastructure, SolidRun, a prominent developer of high-performance computing solutions, has partnered with Amarisoft, known for its software-defined wireless technology, to validate a compact full 4G/5G base station. Announced on July 21, 2025, this development highlights the capability of modern technology to deliver robust telecommunications solutions without the need for conventional, bulky hardware. The newly validated base station operates on SolidRun’s Ryzen Embedded V3000 COM Express Type 7 module, integrated into their HoneyComb Ryzen V3000 carrier board. This setup supports a 100MHz bandwidth utilizing 4T4R MIMO technology and runs a complete virtualized 4G/5G software stack developed by Amarisoft. Notably, this solution eliminates the requirement for external accelerators, FPGAs, or GPUs, showcasing a shift towards more efficient, power-conscious designs in the telecommunications sector.

The AMD Ryzen Embedded V3000 processor, which powers the system, features up to eight cores and 16 threads, offering the necessary computational power while maintaining energy efficiency.
