Solos Unveils Advanced Smart Glasses Featuring Voice Control and Video

In a significant advancement in wearable technology, Solos has announced the launch of its next-generation smart glasses, the AirGo A5 and AirGo V2. Both models integrate seamless voice control capabilities and advanced video features, marking a pivotal moment in the evolution of augmented reality devices. The AirGo A5, positioned as everyday smart glasses, are designed for convenience and ease of use. They boast an automatic power-on/off feature and a hands-free wake-up word functionality, allowing users to activate the device simply by saying, 'Hey Solos.' This voice command engages AI tools such as SolosChat, enabling follow-up questions without the need to reach for a smartphone.

Equipped with upgraded directional audio technology, the AirGo A5 minimizes sound leakage, providing a more private listening experience. Enhanced bass capabilities ensure richer sound quality for music, calls, and voice responses. These glasses are compatible with all frame fronts from the existing AirGo 3 lineup, offering a straightforward upgrade path for current users. The AirGo A5 is expected to be available starting in Q3 2025, with pre-sales commencing in August at a starting price of $249.

In contrast, the Solos AirGo V2 offers a slimmer profile, integrating a 16MP camera with advanced Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). This model allows users to capture high-resolution images and Full HD video even during movement. Notably, the AirGo V2 introduces live video streaming capabilities powered by ultra-low-power Wi-Fi, facilitating real-time sharing without compromising battery life. The device also features SolosChat 3.0, a multi-modal AI platform that combines image, video, audio, and text for richer interactions. Users can identify objects, translate signs, and obtain rapid responses from various AI models, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek.

The AirGo V2 retains intuitive user features from the A5, such as auto power-on/off, wake-up word activation, and enhanced directional audio. It continues Solos’ innovative modular system, featuring a SmartHinge for easy frame front swapping and a swappable battery to extend video recording times. The AirGo V2 is anticipated to launch in Q4 2025, starting at $299.

Solos is embracing an open platform approach for both design and software, collaborating with select SDK partners to explore new AI-driven applications in accessibility, consumer technology, and healthcare. Initial partnerships include Envision, Deutsche Telekom, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, which is piloting speech therapy use cases. These collaborations underscore the growing potential for smart glasses to meet real-world needs across various industries and highlight Solos’ commitment to an open architecture for smart glasses development.

The introduction of the AirGo A5 and V2 signifies a substantial leap in smart eyewear technology, blending convenience with advanced functionalities. As the market for wearables continues to expand, Solos is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of this dynamic sector.
