Tragic MRI Incident Claims Life of Long Island Man: Safety Concerns Raised

In a tragic incident at the Nassau Open MRI clinic in Westbury, Long Island, Keith McAllister, a 61-year-old man, lost his life after being pulled into an MRI machine due to a weight-training chain he was wearing. The incident occurred on July 16, 2025, when McAllister approached the MRI machine to assist his wife, Adrienne Jones-McAllister, who was undergoing a knee scan. Witnesses report that after Adrienne called for help, the technician allowed McAllister to enter the MRI area despite the chain, which weighed nearly 20 pounds (9 kg).
