G-Dragon Announces North American and European Dates for 'Übermensch' Tour

G-Dragon, the iconic K-pop artist, has officially announced the North American and European dates for his highly anticipated 'Übermensch' World Tour. This marks a significant return for the artist, who has not performed in over eight years. The tour, which is being promoted globally by Galaxy Corporation in conjunction with Infinite Prospects Entertainment for local promotions, is set to commence in major cities including Newark, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles in the United States, before moving on to Paris in Europe.

The announcement follows the remarkable success of the Korean leg of the tour, where all 60,000 tickets sold out within seconds of going on sale. "G-Dragon promises a multisensory performance that redefines the limits of live artistry, blending music, fashion, digital innovation, and storytelling in a way only he can deliver," stated a representative from Infinite Prospects Entertainment. The theme for the tour centers on personal self-discovery and self-overcoming, with fans expecting new music, custom stage visuals, and exclusive merchandise.

G-Dragon, born Kwon Ji-yong, has been a prominent figure in the global music scene since he was just 13 years old. He has significantly influenced the K-pop genre and has expanded his impact beyond music into high fashion, launching his brand Peaceminusone, which has collaborated with major names like Chanel and Nike. His recent work includes a new perfume line in partnership with Frédéric Malle and the establishment of the charity foundation Juspeace, aimed at combating drug abuse.

The 'Übermensch' tour supports his third studio album of the same name, which debuted at No. 1 in South Korea, Japan, and China. Notably, G-Dragon became the first male K-pop artist in 2025 to exceed 200 million digital points on South Korea’s Circle Chart, achieving a new career milestone in commercial reception.

The tour officially began in Seoul and has already included stops in cities like Tokyo, Osaka, and Macau. The North American leg will kick off on August 22 at Newark’s Prudential Center, followed by shows in Las Vegas on August 31, and concludes in Los Angeles on September 5. The European segment will feature a single performance on September 20 at the Paris La Défense Arena.

G-Dragon's influence extends beyond his music career as he has shaped the global perception of K-pop with hits like 'Fantastic Baby' and 'Bang Bang Bang' as a member of BigBang. His solo career has further pushed creative boundaries with acclaimed albums such as 'Heartbreaker' and 'One of a Kind'. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with notable artists including Missy Elliott and Skrillex. The artist recently previewed his tour at the Head in The Clouds Festival, captivating over 36,000 fans who were treated to a glimpse of his elaborate production.

As the 'Übermensch' World Tour approaches, industry experts and fans alike are eager to witness G-Dragon's innovative approach to live performances and the evolution of his artistry. With his return after an extended hiatus, the tour not only highlights G-Dragon's enduring influence in the music industry but also signals a revitalization of the concert scene post-pandemic, as artists and fans reconnect in live settings once again.
