Cebuana Lhuillier, a prominent player in the Philippine financial services sector, has announced the return of its esteemed 'Search for the Happiest Pinoy,' a nationwide initiative aimed at recognizing the uplifting and inspiring stories of Filipino resilience and joy. The call for nominations is set against a deadline of July 31, 2025, with a total prize pool amounting to ₱1 million in tax-free awards up for grabs. This flagship advocacy was first launched in 2009 and is a testament to the enduring Filipino spirit characterized by optimism and joy.

The 2025 edition of the search has introduced a more inclusive set of categories designed to recognize a diverse array of inspiring individuals. New categories include 'Masayahing Gen Z,' which honors the optimism of today’s youth; 'Happy at 60,' celebrating seniors who embody grace and joy; and 'No Way Kapansanan,' which highlights the achievements of individuals with disabilities who inspire through their perseverance. Furthermore, the 'Inspiradong Champion' category will spotlight employees who uplift their peers, while 'Bagong Bayani, Hatid Sigla' pays tribute to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who spread joy across borders. Additional categories such as 'Bibo sa Negosyo' for entrepreneurs and 'Proud as Pride' for LGBTQIA+ individuals further emphasize the campaign's commitment to inclusivity.

Participants are encouraged to submit their entries in various formats, including online forms, emails, or physical submissions at Cebuana Lhuillier branches nationwide. Creative submissions such as scrapbooks, vlogs, or short films are also welcomed to further celebrate the spirit of joy.

The grand prize winner of the search will receive ₱500,000 tax-free, while each of the eight category winners will take home ₱35,000. Two special awardees will also receive ₱25,000 each, all awarded tax-free.
