According to Fire Chief Eduardo Malabanan of the BFP, preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have originated from an electrical malfunction in one of the homes. "We are currently conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire," Malabanan stated. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that all residential properties adhere to fire safety standards to prevent future incidents.

Witnesses reported that the fire spread rapidly due to strong winds and the presence of combustible materials in the area. Local resident Maria Lopez recounted, "I saw flames shooting up into the sky, and I immediately grabbed my children and ran out of the house." Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, although several individuals were treated for smoke inhalation at a nearby clinic.
