Orlando Pride Announces Player Loans Ahead of 2025 Season Midpoint

ORLANDO, Fla. (July 2, 2025) — The Orlando Pride, currently ranked with an 8-4-1 record and 25 points in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), has officially announced the loan agreements of two key players as the team prepares for the second half of the 2025 season. Forward Amanda Allen will join Halifax Tides FC of Canada’s Northern Super League, while defender Bri Martinez will be loaned to Carolina Ascent FC in the USL Super League.

Allen, who made a significant impact during her tenure with the Pride, has participated in 17 matches to date. Notably, she registered her first professional assist during the Pride’s season opener against Louisville in 2024, contributing to a dramatic comeback that leveled the game after the team faced a 2-0 deficit with only ten players on the field.

Martinez joined the Pride as a non-roster invitee in the 2023 preseason, earning a spot on the roster following her impressive performance. She has taken the field in 27 matches, including eight starts during the Pride’s 2024 Championship season. Martinez made her professional debut on April 23, 2023, coming off the bench against the Kansas City Current.

Both players’ loans are set to extend through the conclusion of the 2025 season, providing them with opportunities for further development and experience in competitive environments outside of the NWSL.
