Garmin Launches Edge MTB: A Specialized GPS Bike Computer for Mountain Biking

Garmin, a leader in GPS technology, has officially launched the Edge MTB, marking its first bike computer specifically designed for mountain biking. Launched on June 17, 2025, the Garmin Edge MTB is built to withstand the challenges of off-road cycling. "View trail lines in greater detail while using the enduro or downhill ride profiles thanks to technology that is recording location data five times more frequently than other cycling computers," says a company spokesperson. The Edge 1050 boasts a superior display with an 800 x 480 pixel resolution compared to the Edge MTB's 320 x 240 pixel screen. The Edge MTB is priced at $399.99, while the Edge 1050 retails for $699.99, appealing to different segments of the cycling community.
