PCI-SIG Unveils PCIe 7.0 Specifications and Optical Solutions

The PCI-Special Interest Group (PCI-SIG) has officially released the much-anticipated PCIe 7.0 specifications, marking a significant advancement in data transfer technology. Announced on June 15, 2025, the new specifications promise to deliver unprecedented bidirectional bandwidth of up to 512GB/s through PCIe Gen7 x16 slots, leveraging a raw bit rate of 128.0 GT/s.
